We start our vacation tomorrow:)

Well it is finally here, vacation! I've been so busy getting things in order, forgot about my blog here. I am all packed and ready to go LOL. 7days and six nites away at sea (ya!) Will be worrying about my mother in law and sister who both will be having surgerys done while i am gone but will be in my prayers. Will take lots of pictures to show everyone, be back in a weeks time;0 hugs to everyone out there.

Have been very busy lately with cakes, baby shower and birthdays!

This speical one for my niece Lily, a doll cake she wanted. She just turned 6 years old. And is very speical to me:)

I also just got a new baby bird, a parrolet (a cross between a parrot and a parrakeet) small and a vibrant blue color. She only tweets under her breath right now but am waiting for that first chirp. LOL Will post a picture of her later. Still looking for a name for her, but am leaning towards Poppy.

Well looking forward to my cruise in Oct. we have 46 days until we leave! Still have to buy clothes and a bathing suit:( but still excited!

Haven't tatted anything lately due to poking my eye with a pair of tweezers, the silliest thing i have every done! But i have a long list of things to get started on tatting.

Hot, hot, hot summer days!

Good morning! just went for a walk with my dogs outside, and boy is it hot (8 a.m.) we could only walk 1 acre. The dogs were looking for shade, so they will just have to settle on watching me walk on the treadmill in side. LOL

On the health side of life, i have a sister - in - law who was just told her husband has 6months to a year to live! I just don't know how anyone can wrap there mind around being told this?
I will be there for her, through her ordeal and try to support her with her decisions she has to make. (a little prayer please:)

Well i am tatting again after a short break (son came to visit) i have baby booties to tat, and i will be tatting Jane's lanyard, Betty jo sent to me. A very interesting piece, i think. There is a bead in side of a split ring. Just beautiful, will post a picture later.

mini vacation:)

Good morning all, had a wonderful weekend! Yard sales not so great all i could find was a cookbook and a baby pool for my dogs. The weather is just so HOT and the afternoon showers just pass us by, so my babies have to cool off somehow.

I am already looking forward the this coming weekend as far me and daughter Kelly are leaving friday to go to Austin to pick up my son Jeremy for a visit. It is his birthday on Monday July 19, he will be 28 years old. (but still my baby) how does anyone let go of that? He will return to Austin on Wednesday, he has to get back to work. So a short visit will have to do:)



Tatting this week, i have several projects going on at once. A large yellow cross, a pair of baby booties, and a little motif i found in a book i liked so much. Looking forward to bringing this with me to Austin!

WEDDING DAY

Ceremony, pictures, food, music, people, cake, everything was great.

Hope everyone who attended had a great time. I just want to thank my sisters and brothers and exspecially mom who helped me put all this together to make my niece's wedding a memoriable day.

Sorry but i had to order the wedding cake (big mistake)

but will live through that experience (omg!)

This is my family, seven sisters and three of my four brothers, hubby and brother in-laws, sister in-laws, nieces, nephew and mom in the purple behind the cake. What a beautiful bunch:)

Wedding week

Well countdown to wedding, today is Monday wedding is Friday. We are trying to tie up last minute details! We have to go pick up serving trays and chafers, back drop, table cloths, etc. to decorate on Thursday.
i still have 1 side of my hankie to finish tatting on, this keeps me grounded:) this is something blue for her to carry.
So 4 more days to go.

Finally got the hang of tatting the baby booties. They are awesome to look at, to think a tiny human foot will fit in this lacy little pocket:) I just have to try my hand at tatting the bonnet that goes with the booties.

Well count down to Lindsay and Adams wedding (21 days), the rehearsal dinner is on the 17 of june and the wedding is Friday the 18 of june. I have to start my notes on the wedding cake, size, square, filling, ribbon, and the cake topper.

I finally got the baby booties down pat! I just started my second pair after 4 tries on the first pair. LOL will post pictures soon. My second pair is being done in pink , size 30 DMC condonnet special. This thread has a sheen to it so it is easy to tat with. I also tatted my spring exchange, which is a cross from Mary Konior's book Tatting with Visual Patterns. (just love this book, a must have for anyone) this cross is done with embroidery thread, steel blue, DMC i just love this thread too:) silky to tat with. Hope my exchange partern likes this, will have to put it in the mail soon.

Well we are putting our deposit down on our cruise, so far six of us are going! Excited, anxious and just can not wait.
will have to set up a ticker tracker here to count down the days! October 24 is our departure day 8 days and 7 nights of no worry, relaxation, sun, and just plain old fun.

Friday again guys, it seems the weeks fly by now days, but life is great ! I love this saying Yesterday is Histroy, Tomorrow is a mystery and Today is a Present (i think this is how this goes) just love it.

Well i just want to wish all you mom's out there a very happy Mother's day! so make the most of it, get what you can LOL and relax. Breath deeply and take it all in;0

Wanted to share a picture of my mom and niece Lindsay, who is getting married in June.

Well i took a big leap and decided to try and tat the baby booties again, i have a little trouble with the spacing of the string at the beginning, but will not let this get to me. ( I know i can do this even if it takes several tries) LOL

Deep breath and must start my day, coffee in one hand remote in the other, laptop here! Ya right LOL

Hi all, hope everyone's morning is as beautiful today as my:) Have a lot to do today most of all decide if i want to go on a cruise in October with Kelly my daughter. We would leave Galveston, Texas on a 7 day cruise to Montego Bay Jamaica, Cayman Inlands and Cozumel Mexico.(What a decision LOL) do i start a diet today, do i start to pack right away LOL. Just daughter and the girls (anyone out there up for trip? Price very affordable) fun, fun, fun!!!!!!!!!!

Well also have normal duties to do like yard and flower beds today, bath dogs, and just enjoy the sunshine. Bless everyone and enjoy your week:)

My Very First Post:)

Hi everyone, this is a little intimidating but will give it a try:)

Today is Friday YA!!!!!!!!!! weekend just hours away, Saturday is yard sales and Sunday is lunch at Mom's with sisters and brothers (six sisters and four brothers) most do show up at mom's for lunch unless work or other commitments stop them from coming, but we all make an effort to come every Sunday. Mom is 76 years old and still cooks for everyone, she lost vision in one eye and doesn't have full vision in the other. She can still keep up with the best of us LOL.

I'm in the process of tatting a doily for my niece Lindsay who is getting married in June. She is currently working and living in Houma Louisiana. I just want something in her hope chest she will remember for alway. I'm doing it in her wedding colors which is medium cream and purple. We are trying to finalize her wedding plans, with my sisters doing most of the food prep and myself doing the wedding cake. (Will post pictures as soon as i learn how) LOL
